ISO 26000

The ISO 26000 CSR International Standard provides guidance on how businesses and organizations can operate in a socially responsible way. This means acting in an ethical and transparent way that contributes to the health and welfare of society. The ISO 26000, covers key issues such as  corporate governance, protection of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection, fair operation practices and the responsibility to consumers, in conjunction with the 7 fundamental CSR principles, as specified by the standard, and are related to issues of accountability, transparency, ethics, the respect of Stakeholders interests, the respect of Human Rights, the compliance with the international laws and the rules of corporate behavior. Since 2012, MYTILINEOS implements the Principles of the Standard in its operation, describing annually the result of this effort in the following table, with references to the Annual Sustainable Development Report and in conjunction with supporting material available on its website.
