Natural Gas Market Liberalisation. MYTILINEOS GROUP becomes the first private player to import LNG. The first LNG cargo on behalf of the Group arrives at Revithousa Terminal in May.

MYTILINEOS GROUP and ENEL reached an agreement for the acquisition of the 50.01% of ENDESA HELLAS. The acquisition of the full control of ENDESA HELLAS renamed to PROTERGIA and marks MYTILINEOS GROUP establishment as the country's largest independent energy producer.
- MYTILINEOS and MOTOR OIL established a joint company, M and M NATURAL GAS S.A., which will engage in importing and trading activities of all kinds of Natural Gas (LNG, CNG, etc.). M and M NATURAL GAS S.A. is expected to contribute to the liberalization of the natural gas market and further more will help establish the conditions of healthy competition in the electricity production market.
