1. Establishment and operation of M&M GAS Co S.A.,
the joint company to result from the Group’s strate-
gic alliance with MOTOR OIL. It is the first private-
sector company to enter the market for trading and
supply of natural gas in Greece, thus marking the ef-
fective liberalisation of the market for natural gas.
2. Establishment of Power Projects, a subsidiary of
METKA S.A. in Turkey. METKA S.A. wins the contract
for construction of Syria’s largest power plant, with
a capacity of 724 MW.
3. MYTILINEOS Group concludes with Enel an agreement
for the acquisition of the 50.1% stake held by ENDESA
SA in Endesa Hellas. With this agreement, MYTILINEOS
Group becomes the sole shareholder of Endesa Hel-
las, which is renamed Protergia S.A., and strengthens
its position as the largest independent power producer
in Greece.
4. METKA S.A. and POWER PROJECTS reached an
agreement with “BORASCO ELEKTRIK URETIM SANAYI
VE TICARET A.S.” for construction works as well as
supply of most of the equipment for a 870 MW ther-
mal power plant in Samsun, Turkey.

construction of a 143 MW power plant and a
146 MW wind turbine facility in Jordan.
3. METKA S.A. through its subsidiary in Turkey,
Power Projects, wins the contract for con-
struction of an energy project in Algeria.
4. 2nd EPC major project for METKA S.A.,
through Power Projects, in Algeria. The proj-
ect concerns the engineering, procurement, in-
stallation and commissioning of twenty-four
(24) gas turbine power generation units with
a total output of 481,7 MW at site conditions.
5. METKA S.A. completed the construction of Ro-
mania's largest power plant, a 860 MW
Combined-Cycle Power Plant in Ploesti, Ro-
mania.
