The ISO 26000 CSR International Standard is a set of practical guidelines, covering the need for companies to describe and to express their corporate responsibility. The main component of the ISO 26000, in order for a company to determine its scope in terms of CSR, is the identification of priorities, regarding to the key topics such as corporate governance, protection of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection, fair operation practices and the responsibility to consumers, in conjunction with the 7 fundamental CSR principles, as specified by the standard, and are related to issues of accountability, transparency, ethics, the respect of Stakeholders interests, the respect of Human Rights, the compliance with the international laws and the rules of corporate behavior.
